humvee wiring...Need help

Hey list me again
  I have the signal lights working but only when I
start to thread in the cannon plug. Once I start to
thread it in more then I lose the signals. So I am
thinking this is deffinately a ground I just don't
know where to start. Any ideas? Thanks
