I concur. My M35A2 w/w, and with the 75 pound addition of power steering,
and the after-market hydraulic system to create the dump body, weighs
14,400#.
An insurance company will not change its rates significantly in response to
changes in a vehicle's field weight. It insures by manufacturer's listed
empty weight, and there is always wide latitude even in that rating.
Has your truck been modified, perhaps by the addition of typical brush truck
equipment, such as skid plates, roll cages, pumps, tanks, etc?
