Ryan has it right. There is an Command and Control HMMWV Modification
consisting of the Expanded Communications Rack System which mounts on the
deck behind the front seats and holds up to 4 Sincgars or other VHF, FAC, or
HF radios, along with various COMSEC and Intercom equipment. (Shameless
Plug) If you need this rack setup I have another NOS kit FS leftover.
Regards
Glenn

Subject: [MV] HMMWV staff car
Out of curiosity. Does anyone know if there is a modern day HMMWV version
of a staff car? If so, how is it different from the standard M-988?
