$55 a ton for scrap is about the going price in this area...(southern
Ohio)...apparently the Chinese have got a good supply for now and have
stopped buying so much....and are watching the market for a lower price
now like we're watching for higher. Best to call the yard and ask price
now before scrapping. The yard down the road sits on theirs till the
market goes up....that's business. Fred Martin
