Stu, I am not sure why you are worried about the TH 400 tranny, it is
probably the strongest one GM ever made (not counting the Allison of
course). The problem with the 1009 towing something stems more because of
the 3.08 gears, causing undue stress on the tranny.
That said, I do agree, I would not tow a 105 with my 1009. I have towed one
empty with my 3/4 ton Pickup (with 4.10 gears and such) and it was
surprising. I would tow the 101 all day though, they tow beautiful behind
the 1009.

It's the trans I would be worried about. Mine was burned up when I got it.
I know of folks towing a M101 with it with no problems. A 105 would worry
me.
Doesn't a 105 have deuce size tires?

Well Stu you might want to check that -10 again, the Blazer can tow a bit
more "Gross load will not exceed 10,000 pounds for M1009". You just don't go
very fast. Wayne
