Is there anyone on this list who would like to help in identifying two US
military "wagons" (both from the late 1940's as far as I know)?
Both are two-axle, eight (8) pneumatic tire wagons with 5th wheel/wagon
tongue assemblies. One has been called a "radar" van, the other an "ammo"
wagon. These wagons were purchased in large quantities apparently as
"government surplus" in the late 1940's by many circuses and carnivals which
traveled by railroad.
I believe the "radar" van wagons were manufactured by Fruehauf trailers. For
those who would like to help, I will either email you photos or send them
via US Postal Service. If you would like a challenge and enjoy researching
the history of military vehicles, it would be great to hear from you.
