Seems like it would fit the format, but I would avoid refering to it as
such, since it will
cause all kinds of confussion and potentialy arguments. If it were me,
I would just refer to
it as a communications truck or com truck for short.

You might start asking around some of the groups that might have had
members in the
airforce, and find out what they called that truck. They are sure to
have come up with some name to refer to them when they were in service.
