From what I have learned from numerous news sources, Government analysts
have pegged the $4.00 a gallon mark as where the American public will
(figuratively) take up a mass revolt. As some of you in parts of
California are aware, it's 70 cents shy of that now.

As for why there has not been a backlash among consumers sooner, it's
primarily due to the consumer's gullibility. For example. When gas
was $1.99 a gallon over the period of two weeks it spiked to $2.25 and
consumers complained. It then dropped to $2.15 and the SUV guzzlers
were dancing at the pumps "Hey, it's ONLY $2.15, not $2.25, that's
cheap".

Two months later gas spiked to $2.40 a gallon and consumer's complained.
After two weeks it drops to $2.25 and the gas guzzler's are singing
"Hey, it's ONLY $2.25, not $2.40, that's cheap". Two months later a
$2.55 a gallon spike . . . . . . . . . . .

By Thanksgiving the gullable will be dancing at the pumps singing "Hey,
it's ONLY $3.05 a gallon, that's cheap".
