Hi All ,
            A number of years ago (1983 Ruddington} I contemplated buying a
Leyland Martian wrecker ! All the wreckers had the engines removed , even
though they still had the batteries and fuel on board , but the trucks ,
same type were complete ! The plan was , with the wreckers at £3500-4000 and
the trucks at £400 , to buy one of each , swing the engine into the wrecker
and then use the wrecker to carry the truck home on the hook!
WHY were the wrecker engines removed ?
