Thanks Ed, I know this is one touchy subject, but it affects us all and
its worth considering.
It's kinda like we are all in one lifeboat. We gotta row together or we
will make no progress or worse we will go under.
There are many life-threatening events ahead of us and time is not on our
side to prepare. This storm has pointed out yet another weakness in our
country, just like 9/11 did. It also shows just how much work remains to
build up a strong America that can withstand future challenges.
Our first line of defense ought to be focusing on building up good moral
character right along side a love of country. But, our great melting pot
seems to have lost it's fire and it's a huge challenge to get people to
raise the "moral" bar. So many people are here to just take what they
can, when they can...it's never occured to them there might be a better
way.
