I live in Saucier, MS....about 20 miles N of Gulfport on Hwy 49 in Harrison
County and made it though with a little damage to my mobile home and workshop,
but still liveable. Tons of trees down...anyone have a sawmill I can borrow??
haha
We are probably going to be without power for at least 3 weeks, according to a
good friend that is a Lineman for Mississippi Power. I'm running on my 8KW
generator, which can run my central A/C unit (with hard-start kit). Trying to
keep gas in the beast is another story, it burns about 1 gal/hr. We also still
have city water and I have a well for backup and drinking water. All in all
I'm sitting pretty good compared to a lot of other folks.
I'm going to journey back to Keesler AFB today for the first time. I read on
the webstite we are working 12 hr shifts, 7 days a week until we get back on
our feet. I work in the Medical Center, which flooded with about 2 1/2 feet of
water. My office/shop is on the ground floor...should be interesting
I still have 202 messages to read since I was last on-line. Thanks for all
your thoughts and prayers.
Oh yeah, MV content, my M1008 has been running great and VERY useful!!!
