Go to www.humvee.net and check out the Information Database. There is a
good write up on this problem. Very common on the pre 92 hummers and
humvees. Also check www. Amghummer.com , there is another good article
there I believe.

with a set screw that clinches the nut when you have the spindle bearing
adjustment accomplished rather than bending over the washer tang as in the
type originally used. Any HUMMER dealer's parts department SHOULD be able to
put you onto these. By the way, if you do go this route, be sure to get a
copy of the installation instructions as they is abit involved. Good Luck!
