FWIW.....with the engine off, grab the hoses that come out of the Power
steering pump and go to the brake booster, right at the point they come out
of the pump, and pull on them through all 6 axis while watching the space
between the back of the pulley and the face of the PS pump bracket.
My M1010 had a strange 'thrumming' noise that came and went. Turned out
the pump attaching screws had backed off, causing the hoses to vibrate
against the inner fender at varying RPMs .
Just a thought......
