The nice property of propane is that it liquefies at fairly low pressure.. CNG
does not and it has to be at higher pressures to liquefy. It also has a low
stored energy density (it takes far more cubic feet to store the same number of
BTUs)
Also, because of the different chemical composition, CNG (Methane) has less fuel
value per pound than Propane If you run a genset on it, the output is derated
compared to gasoline.
