I have also been experimenting with diesel and veg oil in a VW Rabbit.
Started with a 90/10 diesel/veg oil mixture and progressed up to 50/50.
Temp range for the 50/50 runs has been 50-90°F. Seems to work well. Only
noticeable differences are reduces exhaust smoke and the engine will turn
over a few times before it will start. I have about 6-7000 miles on the car
with no engine problems.
