From what I know of my 5 ton (similar, not the
same, but some of it's almost exactly the same)
that sounds like it could be a fording valve
issue.
If there's a fording kit installed (or partially
removed) there could be a faulty regulator valve.
That'd lead to the breather on the engine no?
If there's a fording kit installed, it'll open a
valve and close another allowing the crankcase to
be pressurized with 5 psi. IF that regulator (the
only allows 5 psi of air to enter the crankcase,
is faulty, it could exhibit this exact problem.
Does it build up pressure normally?
