I dunno. It might be close. Note that if one looks closely we are losing a
LOT of troops in Iraq to "non-combat related injuries" and "non-combat
related causes". I well remember Viet Nam was the same way. A lot of
purely stupid sh*t getting guys killed. Much of it their own fault.
Carelessness, tired, inexperienced, "don't give a sh*t" attitude, whatever.

As we all know, war (any war) is a big series of accidents waiting to happen
even without the "other guy" ready to do his best to do you in if he gets a
chance.

In example, remember the first troop killed during Desert Shield ? A tired
loadie sleeping under the wing of his cargo acft when a forklift ran over
him. I think we lost a whole lot more people from active duty (killed,
disabled, injured, etc.) to accidents than to enemy action in Desert Shield
and Storm.
