Our fire department has an M35A2 military deuce and a half which has
been converted into a tanker/brush fire truck. Absolutely reliable for
ten years. Now the engine stutters and sputters under hard acceleration
when warmed up. We've cleaned the filters and flushed the diesel lines
to the injector pump; also installed a new diesel tank and fuel pump. No
difference. We think it is the injector pump or possibly a bad injector
or two. If it is the injector pump, how does one set the timing?
