Everette,
I do not have the history channel. In fact I have no channels, because I
have never owned a TV. I have watched other peoples TV's, but find most
programming to be too mind numbing. I read. I read a lot. I even read your
history commentaries. I learn a lot from them. I know a lot more about
military history than the average person on the street, but I certainly am a
long way from knowing everything. Some of your facts jog my memory, but most
of them are new to me. I find history to be completely fascinating.
Who said "Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it", anybody on the
list know?
It is so true.
Thanks for the posts, Everette, and thank you for reminding us of what our
fathers and grandfathers went through.
Those on the list who are not interested, just delete them, no problem. I
often delete entire threads that do not interest me.
However, I cherish the days when I learn something new.
Forever young,
-Sarge
