After initially fobbing him off (see quote at bottom) they
then basically told him to get the names of existing people
with registered armor in Kansas and rub it in with the
DMV there - basically on a "if these people are registered you
cannot refuse me" approach.
Not a really bright suggestion as all that would
have achieved is to drop the existing registered owners
right in the middle of this fight.
I found this back in the Ferret postings:
"How can the president of an organization, when asked for the assistance
and support of that organization, respond by stating that because he
does not live in the member's state, he can be of “no help”? This same
response seems to be coming from other MVPA officers when contacted
about the issue."
I am just waiting for them to trot out the "we are not worried about
armor, what if they ban jeeps" response. But perhaps they are getting
a bit tired of having that rubbed in and will just say nothing on
this forum. Those of you who have been here for many years will
well remember the last time the MVPA needed to support its members
and DIDN'T.
That time it was again about armor (the great Form 6 fight).

Doug
