Hi John,

Yep, was only there for a couple of days myself then off to the wilds! I
remember Dak To as I was stationed at An Khe for the first part of my second
tour with the Cav. Also Bong Son as we picked up and dropped off Troops
there in my Huey days. I don't recall Phu Tai but then I may have been
there too! We were stationed in An Khe for the first part of my second tour
and then were stationed at Phouc Vinh for the last. It was a very pretty
country and I'm sure that it still is. Would like to go back and see what
it's like now but I don't think that's in the running unless we win the
lottery! So many places, so little time! Glad that you made it back!

Best Regards,

Ed

Ed,

Yes, I was at Long Bien, but only for about a week. That was in October
of 68. I was then assigned to the 299th Engineer Battalion at Dak To in
the Central Highlands. Stayed there for about 6 months and them moved to
Phu Tai for about two months, then four months in a place called Bong
Son. An interesting time. Glad to be back.

John
