Hey all:
Ronzo went in the the local hospital this AM for a angioplasty, they
found 2 pretty much complete blockages, and were going to evac him to a
major hospital for surgery. In the intervening time, it appears that he
had difficulty coming out of the anesthesia, and remained unconscious
for a protracted period. When they were able to rouse him, he became
combatitive and could not discern where he was, identify his wife, tried
to bite people, etc... (Come to think of it, it is not far from his
usual attitude <G>)
The MDs are thinking stroke, but a CAT scan did not show and blockages
or anomalies in his brain. There is a possibility that it is some sort
of reaction to the anesthesia or something. He is scheduled to go for an
MRI in the AM. He is in the ICU and sedated now, and they expect to keep
him out till tomorrow.
I spoke to his wife a few minutes ago, she and the girls are concerned
but OK.
I will go to the ICU and will see him in the AM and give a post and
update by noon tomorrow.
