In 24087, the Gillespie, to my eyes, has a noticeable shift towards the
browner end of the spectrum. I tried it on a bunch of helmets for work and
found it so 'wrong' that I bought some of the Aervoe hoping that would be
closer to original colour. It was. The next vehicle that needed to be
24087 (a 1967 M715) got an Aervoe job as a test-case, and it looks far
closer to the 'right' colour as judged by backs of gloveboxes and the usual
'hidden' samples of 'original' paint colour. As to how it fades/shifts over
time, it's been just over a year of outside storage and I haven't really
noticed anything at all, but down the road I can't really say.
That all said, I use Gillespie for every other colour under the sun and it's
really fine paint. It sprays beautifully and is very 'forgiving' - and on
anything I've painted CARC colours - it seems very fade-resistant.
