Had a quite a bit of "unpleasant" experience with Jaguars over the past years, which sort of soured me on British vehicles, until I bought a Ferret. Now that was a marvel of simplicity and ingenuity.
I can't say that I have any experience with them other than in passing, but a Land Rover 101" Forward Control has been on my short list of Post War MVs for some time. I can't decide between the artillery tractor version with the break down sides or an ambulance or command/wireless version.
