A locking cap can prevent incoming as well as outgoing.

A friend in PA had some (I guess) mis-guided anti-war college students put sand in his beautifully-restored M35's tank, while it sat in his driveway.

Diesel is now more expensive than gasoline on Long Island. Forty gallons of Diesel is worth $120 in my area.
