I remember hearing about this over a year ago, technology is totally
available and affordable. People to do the job are already in country,
vehicle of choice would be something along the lines of my 4x4 converted M35
with a civilian diesel of 200 hp and an auto trans for better get around.
The ONLY problem is the microwave will set the IED's off where ever they are
as the vehicle passes through an area. So the ones that haven't been placed
yet would go off in houses, cars, backyards and mosques. Our Government
doesn't want to kill a bunch of "innocent" people. JT

You could sweep electronicly with a phased array and use very high power
microwaves to trigger or distroy any electronics within range.
