I took one of the receiver hitches for bolting under the civy P/U rear step
bumper and welded it under the rear step on my 1008. I pull 2200lb camping
trailer with it, but still have the military hitch also.

Subject: [MV] M1008/9 trailers
What kind of trailers were used on the m1008/9s? I can imagine there would
be all sorts of different types for obviously different functions - but what
about just general cargo hauling?
I am thinking it would be killer to get a suitable trailer to use with that
gnarly hitch.
Also, that being said - any success stories on installing a Class III/IV
hitch without removing any original equipment?
Thanks all -
