Well, Spiders that are painted CARC (Tan 686A) Tan tend to very hard to
find in the sand so they need to be sanded a bit for visibility. Other
wise when restoring your spider to like new condition (as opposed to
hitting it with the nearest ert large caliber round) sanding may be
necessary for proper application of additional CARC paint.
