Mike, Cor brings up a good point. The are some good rust converters and rust
encapsulators,
that are popular with the restoration folks. I have had good luck with the
rust converters,
but have recently read were rust encapsulators are getting better results.
Read directions carefully.

Subject: Re: [MV] M416 Trailer on EBay 4627518306
Couple of years ago I bought a trailer for more than this one and in a worse
state. Was I stupid? Think not, MV stuff is a lot more expensive over here,
as is gas... But after a lot of grinding and use of a rust converter the
trailer still looks like I just finished painting. I slapped on three layers
of rust repellent base paint and another three layers of Dutch OD paint (RAL
6014 matte, differs from FS, haven't found a conversion table yet). Really
works but needs a lot of elbow steam. But that is part of the fun, isn't it?
