Check your grounds! The bolts/nuts have to be clean (no rust or dirt, which
act as insulators) and have good solid contact with the body metal. If you
can, get a bit of Alnox or some other corrosion/oxidation preventative
grease at Lowe's or Home Depot in the electrical dept. Small tube costs
$2.00, and it will last you many small projects. Apply to clean parts,
reassemble as per specs. Good luck!
