Sounds like either a bad battery or a bad connection. I would get a
volt meter and test the voltage across each battery at the center
posts. You should get about 12.5 volts with no load at each battery.
Turn the lights on and you should still get about 12 volts at each.
Mush less than 12 and the battery is either discharged or bad. To tell
which, unhook the cable between the batteries and charge the battery
overnight and test it again.
With the truck running you should get about 14.5 volts across each battery.
