That's what I have Bruce, the gear reduction starter, brand new in the
sealed military box. That's when my troubles started, when I installed that
brand new gear reduction starter. It's for the M-1008 & M-1009 and you do
need to replace the under dash starter relay!!!! That's the entire problem
that I've had in a nut shell....................Putting in a new starter
relay from Kenworth today. Shouldn't have any more problems in that area.
