The horn ring and central steering wheel "mushroom" thingie on Mercedes
Benz's pops off and the space beneath makes a good spot for securing
pharmaceuticals. I do not advocate using marijuana in any form. I have
never smoked pot. Any reefer found in any of my MB's is purely coincidental.
I never exhaled. I mean inhaled. Hee hee. Are you hungry? I'm starved. Let's
go get five pizza's. And potato chips. And some ice cream.

| Hi APB,
|
| I like your thinking on that method of "storing" the item! Another one
that
| I've seen is the middle console that a friend installed in his M-1009. It
| has cup holders in both the front and rear along with a very large center
| compartment. The aft cup holders come out as one unit if you pry hard
| leaving a rather nice open space that is between the center compartment
and
| the rear wall. In there he installed both a small belt holster and a two
| mag ammo pouch. Both the pouch and the holster are installed with Velcro
| that is super bonded with Gorilla Glue!
|
| He asked me to find a holster that was easy to get to when someone is in
the
| driver's seat. I looked for about an hour, even pulled up on both the
front
| and rear cup holders without finding anything!! He then showed me the
trick
| of opening that space and once you see it done it is VERY easy to do.
| Without seeing how it's done I highly doubt that anyone could find it
| without tearing up the truck.................though there are specialists
| that would most likely know about that space. People that run the
| checkpoints for border crossings and that check vehicles going into high
| level areas. Unless they were on alert and the driver/passengers acted
| funny or out of place they would most likely get through with that one
thing
| hidden.
|
| I hate to say it but in these times if you go unarmed you will be in very
| deep ca-ca if the stuff hits the fan!! Thanks again for sharing that
idea,
| it's a very good one!
|
|
| Best Regards,
|
| Ed
