Now wait just one second here dang it. The left or right side of a vehicle
is determined from the drivers seat, the steering wheel being on the left
side. Hence, left hand drive as opposed to the British and other
unfortunates who drive on the wrong side of the road and whose steering
wheel is on the right side (right hand drive) (right in this case not being
the opposite of wrong but in fact right is wrong---but that's another
story).

The serial number on my deuce is located on the left frame rail just below
and behind (I hope there is no misunderstanding about front and rear or up
and down) the attachment point of the steering gearbox. Another more
convenient location is on the data plate located towards the right side of
the dash board.
I'm glad I had a chance to clear this up for everyone.
