Here's a request:
Here I am in Texas, with this truck mounted air conditioned
communications shelter to cool. I can't pull my diesel generator
trailer because I now pull a military trailer and it's full of other
stuff.
I would like to trade any or all of the generators listed below
depending on condition (and even your ability to do some welding etc)
for your equally good running 4-5KW RV type diesel generator set like
an onan etc. to mount under/on this truck, either where the drivers
side under-cab toolbox is or where the spare is:

Preferred dimensions are not larger than below, but larger could be
worked out, if you have measurements I can check the possibilities:
about 31.5Lx15"Hx26"D (toolbox area)
about 27"Lx23"HX27"D (spare tire space 1)
about 21"Hx30"Lx29"D (spare tire space 2)
Could also be mounted on the front bumper, but this is not what i
really want..
Generators for trades, all air cooled:
1. 28V 65A 2-cyl. military gasoline type, electric or manual start,
runs and generates, needs carb rebuild and air cleaner. no fuel tank,
uses a small one like 6x6x12"
2. 3500W Kholer 3.5CM21 single cylinder heavy duty gasoline generator,
120VAC 60Hz, on approx 24x36" wheeled cart stand with RV genset
muffler, nice and quiet, 1800RPM to last forever, new outlets and
switches, new rear bearing in alternator, rebuilt carb, electric start
with manuals. no fuel tank, plenty of room for one.
3. 8800W continuous duty 120/240 Diesel generator in small enclosed
trailer. About 1400 LBs total. 2 CYL Perkins engine, brushless
alternator/exciter, "large" steel fuel tank will run a 2KW load for
about 3 days, new lights, 12V electric start and external belt driven
alternator and battery ammeter.
last year's upgrades not shown include new quiet muffler and exh. pipe
(comes out of original hole in back of trailer), new breakers and 4
duplex external weatherproof outlets, also upgraded to 12 guage wiring
to each separate outlet, "landing gear/wheeled trailer jacks" front
and rear.
