Hello,
Is the MIL-VEH net new? I noticed there is not much conversation so I
figured I would try to start one. I've loved Military vehicles all my life
and I have owned an M-151A1 with a M-416 trailer. It was a 1966 Marine Corps
model with the deep water fording kit, and complete radio system (I can't
recall the nomenclature but it was the 60's early era radios not the PRC's).
I bought it after it sat in a barn for 5 years. I sanded off 14 layers of
paint and repainted it to the spec camouflage CARC scheme. I still have the
M-416 trailer which I use with my Ser. III Land Rover (civilian). The M-151
was sold to a friend who since has sold it also.
Currently I'm thinking of selling the Land Rover and getting a M-37 to
fix up. I would like to have a B1 model with the winch and full canvas. I
would probably mount a heater and deep water fording kit to round out its
capabilities. Well, enough rambling.
