My thanks to Arthur for the job he's doing. It suits me fine that many more
people are involved in keeping the list rolling than just myself, for as we
all know, none of us are either invincible or indispensible. I have enjoyed
getting the list started, and will continue to enjoy being a member of it.
I don't have WWW access from here so I'm not able to check out how things
look from the web side. I know others of you have web access, so I'm looking
forward to hearing your collective comments. As for Arthur's initiative of
providing a couple of other spellings of the list name, good stuff. It makes
perfect sense and I welcome it.
Generally, I would say that the move to the skylee server is logical for
many reasons, and since it occurs so early in the life of the list, then it
will not cause major disturbances. Arthur, you were fast and efficient. I
like that. I appreciate your comments too.
I am appending the traffic that arrived (other than Arthurs in connection
with the move to skylee) during the move so that nobody misses out on it.
On another subject - I have just talked to a friend of mine who is Chief
of Medicine at the Jutland Artillery Regiment garrison here in town. He is
a long time mv collector of WW2 jeeps. He told me someone he knows (he
kept the name and address secret) has a WW2 jeep with has only 10 miles
on the clock, is in just as great shape at when it was produced, and more
importantly - is COMPLETELY original, ie no new body parts etc! How's
about that! He says the fellow will sell it for $25K and he'll buy it
himself when he gets the money together.
