* I had a big day out in the country today...(350ks in work car)
* ...first destination was the Q Store at Singleton where I took some more
happy snaps of the motor pool area. Todays Army has your G.S. 110 LR,
Unimogs (sigh),Civilian (unmodified): Landcruiser LWB hardtops and
Mitsubishi Canter delivery trucks and Toyota Hilux 2wd vans (Mil Police)
and Ford LTD sedans (non combat personnel - eg Major brass etc).. AND I
picked up some Army brochures (yes - sales brochure type leaflets) on the
SAS regiment 6x6 LR, 8 wheel Armoured Fighting vehicle (LAV-25) with
cannon, and the Black Hawk whirly gig... Would anyone like one????
* ....second destination was Hilton at Pollard Motors Colo Heights for some
genuine 11a LR mil fittings that 'Castrol' is missing. I got the axe-
shovel-pick brackets and the TAC light for the frt guard. Hilton has so
much stuff. More dissassembled Land Rovers in one spot than the road to
Basra. So many new parts. Sheds of it. Eg :Series "48" speedometer new in
original box (incl cotton guaze wrapping). He has for sale a Stage one
109 3.9 Isuzu (factory) in real nice condition for $A15000...
* ...how do you
* stop all
* these
* bullets. very inappropriate on a mil-veh list :)
PS.The web page for mil-veh works well and Im impressed how quick this all
happens.:congrats

To George Rawson - thanks for the link, and we pay 75cents per litre for
super: 2 tanks full is not cheap!
