You're nearly right......they were actualy made in Canada for the
British. And were scripted in English as well as Russian so that some
could be fitted in the vehicles we were building and supplying to the
Russians, as and where necessary. The Wireless set No 19 (all marks),
was for use in soft-skin vehicles, as well as tanks and armoured-cars,
and when mounted on a two man carrying base was manhandled also.
