Hi,
I've just restored a 1943 Harley Davidson 42WLA. Can anybody tell me which markings are correct for a non-military police bike (most are restored as MP
bikes, but I would prefer a bike used by a reconnaissance unit). Or were all recon bikes replaced by jeeps by 1943? Also does anybody know how many HD
WLA went to the USSR during the war? Some books refer to HD's exported to Russia on a lend-lease agreement, but no details can be found. A source of
more details and maybe pictures will be much appreciated.
