Hi to all,
I picked this up from a usenet group and contacted Brett to ask if I could
forward this to list. I remember someone a few days ago was looking for a
Mog. Please don't write me, I know nothing more than what's printed below.

> Unimogs are amazing off road machines which have had many uses
>from farm tractor to troop carrier in both civilian and military realms.
>The model I have is 404 114s with M180 6 cylinder gas engines. Parts for
>the engine are no problem (the engine is also in some sedans upto 1975).
>They have 6 gears forward and 2 reverse (1st is so low that breaking is
>not necessary even on the steepest of slopes). They are shift on the fly
>(no hubs, no clutching necessary, just pull the lever) 2wd to 4wd to 4wd
>fully locked differentials. They will hit 60 mph, but slow down on
>hills. I drove mine from Indiana to New Mexico and got between 9-14mpg
>depending on how hilly the terrain was.
>
> They are 2 door soft tops with troop seats. The front holds only
>two people, but the seats in back can carry 10 more. The troop seats are
>easily removed and you can carry 5000 lbs in the 10' x 7' bed. The rear
>has racks and bows to cover the bed with a tarp. We are asking $1000
>more for the original rear tarps in good condition (we have been quoted
>$2000 to have new ones made, personally I would recommend a normal tarp.
>The only difference is the lack of window).
>
>What do they look like?
>
> Here are a few www sites that have photos of these trucks. If
>you would like to see actual photos I can mail them out to you.
