I recently purchased an AN/VRC-10 Radio Set for my M38A1. While I was
setting it up, I thought about the possibility of purchasing another MT-299
mount and antenna, and putting it in my M135. That way I could swap the
radio back and forth, depending on what vehicle I want to drive. I realize
that the radio is probably more correct in the jeep than the duece, but I
have seen pictures of the big trucks with antennas. It appears that the
obvious place to put the radio mount, is under the dash, supported from the
floor, as well as from the fire wall and possibly some support from the top,
as the radio and power supply together, are in the 100 lbs. range. It looks
like in doing this, there would still be foot room under the unit, and the
controls would be easily accessible and visible, to both the driver and
passenger. Is this correct? Any ideas or comments would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,
Sean
