I would like to ask all of you armor collectors and lovers. I have
recently purchesed a M-15 half-track. When I bought it, I thought it
was a M-16A1. I noticed that the boxes looked different than the ones
on the M-16A1 that is sitting in the junk yard down the street. It has
fewer boxes and they appear to be smaller. The base plate is differnt
b/c It has a ring of bolts instead of the 4 mounting brackets on the
m-16 series. I would like to get any info on the duel mount and in the
future purchase one in excellent. Any info or places to get info will
be greatly appreciated. On another tangent, the half-track was in
excellent shape when purchased, all armor was there, new tracks and 16
new perfect condition bogie wheels (already I have 25 Miles on them.)
rebuilt engine, and all the external and interal gagets. The fuel tanks
are in mint shape with only a small dent in the driver side gas tank
cap I was able to get it for $3500. It was at a logging yard inside of
a large warhouse. The logging company bought it in the late sixties
from the army in Alb. They started it every year to keep it in shape in
case they needed it. They never did. It's also a winch model. Talk
about finding a diamond in the rough. Gotta go, let me know what you
have on the mount that I am needing. jason green
