No one can become subscribed to mil-veh by accident. You joined
yesterday.

To repeat the message I sent to the list yesterday, this is the
wrong procedure to unsubscribe from the mil-veh list. You were told
how to unsubscribe in the Welcome message you received yesterday.

To unsubscribe from the mil-veh mailing list, send the single word
UNSUBSCRIBE in the body of your message to <mil-veh-request@skylee.com>.

Some things to remember:

Do not put anything else in the message.

Make sure you spell UNSUBSCRIBE correctly.

Do not send the message to me.

Do not send the message to the list itself.

AOL's e-mail system requires that you put something in the Subject--the
mail list software will ignore it, so make sure you put UNSUBSCRIBE
in the body of the message.

I have been chided by a list member for having an "attitude" about
a previous incorrect unsubscribe attempt. I posted instructions to
the list in order to head off the flurry of additional incorrect
attempts and "me too" messages that were sure to follow the first
message. Let me remind you all that I am not paid for my work in
administering this list, 99% of which you never see. I do so as a
small service to the Internet community, in the spirit of cooperation
and mutual aid that has been part of the computer community since
its inception. I am not a moderator or nursemaid or servant. My
job is to ensure that messages are redistributed to you in a timely
manner and that you are not subjected to spam, administrative
requests, or other off-topic postings. In return, I expect two
things from you: first, that you participate to whatever extent you
can in helping your fellow list members with their questions and
problems (the recent discussion about the slow vendor is a fine
example of this) and second, that you help me by following the
simple rules I have established (read them at
<http://www.skylee.com/lists.html>) and in particular by learning
how to unsubscribe properly when you decide to leave. I do not
expect to be criticized for not saying "goodbye" every time someone
unsubscribes. This really isn't too much to ask.
