With the amount of mail I received over my GSA inquiry, I think this might
help. GSA stands for GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION, a federal agency, which
among other things, sells off surplus vehicles and equipment for the Federal
Government that is not owned by the Dept. of Defense. Last I heard there were
10 GSA regions. Check your local federal government listings for the office
near you. They often sell many older military vehicles that have been in
service with various federal agencies. Region 6 of GSA has a home page at
www.r6.gsa.gov (I think thats right).
DRMS = DEFENSE REUTILIZATION & MARKETING SEWRVICE, which sells off all
surplus Defense Dept. equipment. They have a web site at
http:///www.drms.dla.mil/
Dont expect to find $49 jeeps (in crates, no less), however. Anyone can bid
at DRMS auctions.
Hope this helps
