Recent attacks concerning FAV knowledge

Hi All -

I had no idea that I would be starting a small war (i.e. personal attacks on
myself and my country by some well-meaning but poor sportsman British folk).

As I am not familiar with the Wessex FAV, I will openly admit it. However,
my brother, his racing team, and myself have built four FAV/dune buggy racers
for him, and assisted on at least 15 others. Plus which, I never said we
invented it. We just marketed it better than anyone else.

By the way, I seem to recall the Brits weren't doing too well until the
U.S.A. stepped in to "lend a hand" on several occasions (World War Two and
World War One immediately come to mind). Of course, this works both ways, as
the Brits have "lent a hand" to the U.S.A. on a few occasions. Each time, we
have learned from each other.

Anyway, the magazine I referred to (HOT VW's) is an excellent source of
information on the availability of chassis, powerplants, running gear, and
all the other parts and accessories. I believe Chenowth (the U.S. military's
prime FAV supplier) even has a listing. The classifieds in the back of the
magazine sometimes list "FAV's" available for sale. While these vehicles are
not technically "military," I seem to recall that the military has turned
just about any vehicle into a "military" vehicle.

BTW, don't forget that the Land Rover was created from the Jeep, German
scientists working in the U.S.A. "invented" atomic weapons (although the
Germans were extremely close with their heavy water experiments in Norway
which were destroyed by a joint American - British commando team), and I
won't speak ill of the leader of anyone's nation (it's simply not polite to
air one's dirty laundry in the open).

All pigs, are fed, watered, and ready to fly. We're just waiting for the
launch codes.

Sincerely,
Robert Ratliff
