Out here in Southern England I regard it as an ASSET.

I add my whole hearted support to Doug, Gerry and Brian; I have also copied
the unsubscribe info to at least three complainants during the last week.
Obviously some people have such large pc's that their machines are
subscribing without the operators (I use the word loosely) knowledge.

I have also indicated to them that it would have been sensible perhaps to
read the information automatically sent when they, or somebody with access
to their machine subscribed...................................

I too have never had the pleasure of receiving "50 +" messages from the
list per day but the 10 - 25 typically received are of great pleasure.

The suggestion that we all keep a standard text to forward in the case of
further intrusions does have its merits

Maybe it would be in order to see what Arthur has to say on his return.
