I had a number of requests for the needle & seat valve replacements so I
found the info. The product line is called 'Grose Jet (reg)'. They are
advertised as exact replacements for ANY needle & seat even those odd ones
that are built into the carb body. There are 125 stock models and they say
they will make custom to fit anything else. Prices, as of 1991, for Carter
carbs runs $5.50 to $7.50. This is typical of most except for special cases
like the M422's Holley which has an additional casting integral with it,
etc. Just to pick a few names off the Antique listing; Chandler Groves,
Detroit Lube, Kingston, Linkert, Locomobile, Marvel, Rayfield, Schebler,
S&S, Tillotson, Winfield, etc.... If you can't find it there, custom made
valves run $10 to $30 or as much as $75 if carb body needs machining.
They very clearly state that they want you send them either the carb or the
needle and seat with carb info to get the exact match since there are
different orifice sizes even within the same carb model listing. Address &
phone are:

Hope this is of some use. All I can say is that if your tired of cheap repro
valve assemblies with garbage rubber tips, this is the way to go, I did!
