Sounds great to me. That is if Ford will do it. It's been my experience in
the past that if it doesn't directly benefit them, they won't do anything to
help.

As for if ya'll are German re-enactors, more power to you. Germany used Ford
trucks, not because they were "captured," but because there was a Ford plant
(I don't remember the name of the town).

The German re-enactors I do battle against have Fords, Kubelwagens, a Hetzer
self-propelled anti-tank gun, a 2.5 cm anti-tank gun, several panzerfausts,
etc. It's a blast when they are as mobile as we are.

Our Allied side (composed of French, Canadian, British, sometimes Russian,
and always American units) has several Shermans, a Stuart, several
half-tracks, an ungodly number of Jeeps, a bunch of 3/4 Ton Weapons Carriers,
a CCKW, and a few other odds & ends.

I hope to see ya'll out on the battlefield sometime soon.

In response to your question, you might try talking to your local National
Guard people. That's how our group was able to get the Hetzer and several of
the Shermans. They are kept at the Texas National Guard's museum, maintained
by the National Guard which lets us through a legal contract play with them.
I don't know the details of the contract, so I can't comment on it much
further. However, it does work quite well for our purposes.

Sincerely,
