I own an M715 which has developed an oil leak in the rear main oil seal
(between rear main bearing and flywheel). It is not sufficient to
warrant pulling the flywheel and replacing the rear seals yet. Does
anyone have any experience with the commercial products that claim to
fix oil leaks for a vehicle of this vintage (30 yrs)? I want to be
careful and not have an incompatibility between the existing seals and
the additive. I also don't want to plug anything else up. Any help or
advice is appreciated.
